Every year a new Madden NFL game is released, and every year it has a different cover athlete. This year, Bills QB Josh Allen was selected to grace the cover of the game, who said “it’s a childhood dream come true”.

Josh Allen is the first Bills player in history to be on the cover. Earlier this week, it was reported first by Buffalo Fanatics that Allen would be this year’s cover athlete.

Allen joins some elite quarterbacks to grace the cover, Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson all have graced the cover. It’s not just anyone that gets to be the Madden cover athlete, only the best of the best, and Allen’s rise to stardom over the past 3 seasons has proved that. Last year he was rumored to be on the cover, until the passing of the late and great John Madden, who the game is named after.

Becoming the cover athlete of the biggest football video game there is solidifies Josh Allen as one of the biggest name in all of football and as a global superstar. And the best part? He is a Buffalo Bill.

The game is set to release August 18th on Xbox Series X/S, Playstation 5 and PC, alongside older generation consoles. Preorders can be made here.
